Mussel cooking broth from industrial processing plants. This effluent is rich in proteins, peptides, and free amino acids, specifically taurine, which is naturally abundant in marine mollusks.

Main Product

Natural marine-derived taurine. An essential amino acid with potent antioxidant and osmoregulatory properties, critical for feline health and beneficial for aquaculture species.

Separation of solids and clarification of the broth.

Development Stage

Current TRL: 3 (Experimental Proof of Concept)

Laboratory-scale validation completed (TRL 1-2). Moving towards pilot-scale validation to demonstrate industrial feasibility and economic viability.
